The gray sky today made it difficult to get a good crisp picture of the boats in the water during the regatta today. Bare branches from the river trees obscured the view through the camera, and left my memory card with many blurry photos. Things looked to bleak to focus. The wind kept blowing, confusing everything in its path. The races today were tight; almost too close to call.
But they won; both races; taking home the cup. And just like my camera today
had a hard time focusing on the subject, I’m having an equally
difficult time grasping just what it means for this to be his last season on the water.
The spring of his senior year.

I know this is just a mere three years away…and it will be here in the blink of an eye…
