Doing Laundry, Nibbling Pie Crust

This week’s Haiku Friday.

I bought a pie crust
couldn’t find it anywhere
I was bewildered.

Then, I found the shell
where I once found the glitter,
in the laundry room.

So, I teach the kids,
pie always tastes much better
when the shell is filled.

  1. Haha! So it it a sweet pie crust?

I used to love eating butter and sugar creamed together. But then again I also used to occasionally eat some of the dog’s biscuit things. They were shaped like hearts or bones. They tasted pretty yukky. I don’t know what I was thinking. They lived in the laundry as well. Seems there’s lots of naughtiness to be got up to in the laundry 🙂

  2. funny happening
shared today in your Haiku …
    makes me miss my mom

    who made the best pie
crusts from scratch … when sprinkled with
    cinnamon sugar

    made a wonderful
    tasty treat we all enjoyed
on the days she ‘baked’ ;–)

    Hugs and blessings,

  3. My 16 year old daughter was the one who ate strange things as a little one. I didn’t need to worry about her daily protein needs being met, since she enjoyed munching on dry cat food. 🙁

  4. I do love to eat homemade graham cracker crusts straight out of the oven, but my favorite is lemon meringue from scratch.

    Mmmmm
