The quiet heartbeat of the house. It’s just me and him… cleaning up breakfast dishes, gathering laundry, getting ready for the next onslaught of chaos when everyone arrives home again.
I treasure these moments. They’re rare, but they’re the ones you remember for a lifetime.
The next time someone rolls their eyes at me when I express how sad I’ll be when all the boys are in school, I’ll just show them these pictures.
Moments like these will be remembered long after they have gone off to college.
And I can imagine how much we, moms, will crave for moments like those.
You inspired a post by the way =)
It’s amazing watching them grow up but equally as sad, I think. Sometimes I wish I could go back to those days when mine were little but then to do that would mean giving up the grandkids. I wouldn’t like that much either.
Those are awesome pictures, very precious.
I would miss being home with a cutie like that too! He looks like a real sweetheart.
Those photos are beautiful. I wish my son would sit still long enough for something like that!
How beautiful! I wish my kids never grew up…
Sooo sweet. I see why you’ll be sad. Happy WW!
I’m surprised you don’t home school. You totally strike me as a home schooler. 😉
Lovely set, Susie. Lovely!
Gorgeous.
And I don’t GET people who roll their eyes at things like that. Why’d they have kids if they don’t LIKE them?
I love capturing those little moments
These are wonderful photos.
I love those precious times, too. My daughter and I have been guilty of playing hooky just to enjoy them again anew. We did not imperil her education, and it was worth it!
God bless.
You have created such a cozy, warm nook there. He looks positively adored. And adorable.
What a special time for you and your baby. I am sure he will miss being the “only child” for those precious hours!
And what great taste he has in books. The “Olivia” books are some of the best!
Perfection.
So sweet.
I’m not looking foward to the day my house is quiet because everyone is off at school. I’ve never been able to relate to the parents who say they can’t wait to get them out of the house. I’m the opposite. I just want them to stay!
