Off to run errands
Cold, and trying to hurry
A notice a smell…
Yep, it smells like skunk
glad to be driving away
from this awful smell.
Soon I realized
skunk was everywhere I drove
what would the town do?
I began to look
at the faces of people,
looking for a sign
that they smelled it too.
I said this to the mailman
“Do you smell the skunk?”
As he walked toward me
he said, “Yes, I think I do.”
Skunks had invaded.
I drove further still,
the smell was making me sick
then I had a thought…
Could this smell be us?
A skunk must now be living
high in the garage.
The ammonia worked
before, for the opossum,
to get him to leave.
I feel as if I’m
Dr. Doolittle who talks
to the animals.
But now we are stuck
with a van that smells like skunk
like Pepe Le Pew.

Oh yuck, yuck! I hope it gets better! My car has been smelling like McDonald’s french fries every time we drove somewhere. We figured out that it was birdseed to close to the engine. My car is parked right by our hanging bird feeder. Ha!
Hope you solve the mystery!
ughhh… can you believe my brother has two pet skunks? Ick!
OH no! That is the worst smell. But a great ku.
I surely enjoyed your misadventure, told by haiku. You had me laughing and laughing. 🙂
Thank you for visiting my blog, too.
eek! I’m lucky we don’t get skunks here in Scotland! Hope the smell goes soon!
Oh, NO! That is hard to get rid of! I have heard tomato juice but that won’t help in this situation! Funny post!
is there such a thing as a tomato juice carwash?? i hate skunk smell…
Well, gosh, if all else fails , you could tell people you’re just a mobile branch of the Lockheed Skunk Words…. or the Dogpatch one, if it comes to that.
Oh No! That suck! Hope you get rid of it soon.
ewe!
Ohmygosh! It’s a funny Haiku, but a frustrating situation. I’ve heard the “tomato juice” cure too … but I don’t know how that will help you. Good luck with this one.
Hugs and blessings,
Oh, Susie! I can’t help but giggle!! Pepe Le Pew You!! LOL
Oh… pew! That is the worst stomach curling smell in the world!
I hope they vacate soon.
Oh boy, hope you get rid of that skunky smell, that has got to be awful.
Ew, skunk is one of th worst smells ever!
Great title!
That was a fantastic Haiku! I am sorry about the skunk!!
That is some awesome poetry! I hope the fug clears out soon.
skunk is, by far, the worse smell on the planet!! my really smart dog…she got sprayed twice by a skunk! twice!!! she didn’t learn her lesson the first time! we had to lock her in the garage so…the house smelled, the car smelled, the dog smelled…couldn’t get away from it!!
they’re cute, though!! well, i think they are…just stinky!!
xoxo
I loved the ‘ku! But I sure hope it’s not you!
Bummer! I used to live in a house with a skunk family that lived underneath. They fought and would stink up the entire house. One morning I woke up to the smell of it and had to get out of there as fast as possible. I realized, when I got to work, that my shoes and my purse (had been sitting on the floor all night) reeked of skunk. My co-workers made me put my purse and shoes out on the balcony for the day.
When I moved from the house, I noticed that everything I owned smelled of skunk. I had to wash everything. Fun times.
Nice ‘ku!
Oh, dear. That’s nasty. I cannot imagine being Dr. Doolittle. It is one thing to play All Creatures Great & Small…but a skunk? UGh. Good luck. Tomato juice removes the spray smell. I wonder if it would help?
ack! i thought you had run it over and it was stuck to the tire! 😉
ewwwwwwwww!!! good luck!
great ‘ku. hope you find the mysterious source!
Oiy!
Oh no – I hope you get rid of the smell soon!
Oh no! Oh no! I hope you get rid of that skunk…and the smell!
