No, Martha Stewart did not drop by my kitchen to help me create these white chocolate ghost pretzels — as you can see by just one look at them.
These Ghost Pretzels were made by a real, everyday mom, who couldn’t quite figure out how to get the chocolate to melt in the microwave — or a double boiler — and with kids who were laying out the parchment paper upside down, so that the paper kept curling up. Â But the ghosts were made for a party we went to, and were a big hit, and the kids were so happy to have something so cool to come out of their very own kitchen.

Supplies:
- Mini Pretzel Sticks
- One bag of white chocolate morsels
- One bag of mini brown chocolate chips
Yes… you can melt white chocolate chips in the microwave. All they need is short bursts of 15 seconds, with constant stirring between each session.
If you hit 1 minute 30 seconds, and your chocolate is still not runny, you’ve failed. At that point, it will not soften. Work in 15 second increments only… stirriing between — even if your microwave rotates.
Use a teaspoon to drop the chocolate blogs on the parchment paper, on the middle of a mini pretzel stick. Let your kids swirl the chocolate around to make their favorite shapes. Wait a couple of minutes beofre you add the chocolate eyes (mini chocolate pieces) as they can melt, and you’ll have a very weird looking ghosts. You can see a few of them here.
Once the choclate hardens, you’ll be able to lift them up off the parchment paper, ghost intact, and insert into your mouth, and let the sugar high begin.
