I Hope The Audience Stands Up And Cheers

Last night, I took two girlfriends with me to see the sneak preview of the new movie Secretariat, with Diane Lane, and her exquisite wardrobe from 1969. The movie, based on a true story, is outstanding. The directors filled the screen with  tiny details, including light green milk-glass coffee cups, to the big ones — John Malkovich’s outrageous clothes that tried to hide his tender compassion, which was the perfect counterpart to Lane. The sound track, (“Oh Happy Day,”) had people clapping to the beat, and the horse races had people jumping out of their seats, tossing popcorn, with cheers.

The story had your believing that anything worth achieving, should be believed by most people, to be impossible.
