At 5:30 a.m. tomorrow, a plane will be leaving to take the boys to the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston.
The biggest regatta in the world.
Wow.
Our son will be on that plane!
But, he’s an alternate. He probably won’t be rowing —
unless something happens to one of the 8 members of the varsity crew boat.
It wouldn’t be wrong of me to blame it on that leg injury, his freshman year,
and how it shaved a year off of his training.
But the truth is — those varsity 8 guys are good.
He made 9th.
He said, “At least I don’t have to worry about rowing, and I can just enjoy the race….”
